Today, I was absolutely crushed (and humiliated) when I was asked not to return to my knitting group because my children are too much of a distraction. Granted, my children can be hand full, especially when they don't get at least one nap. Which, of course, invariably, on this day they never do. So, on the one hand I do understand. On the other hand I'm just really hurt and upset because my kids aren't near the little monsters they used to be.

The parenting class/program Carey and I are in uses lots of attending and stuff like that. We're not allowed to hit or spank the kids at all (which is good, this is what I wanted although my husband is a bit leery of this) and it's working! It's amazing, but it is. I have seen a huge difference in my oldest son already. I have found the caring, thoughtful, helpful little boy hiding behind the ugly monster that has been living with me for the last several years.

Unfortunately, they're still too much of a disturbance to everyone else. So, no more knitting group, one of my few escapes a week where I'm actually talking to real adults and not small children that have no idea what I'm talking about or even understand. So, while I'm busy feeling sorry for myself, here are some random pics taken over the last week or so.

Charles playing in the rain. Would you believe that this was taken at about five in the afternoon? A storm had just come in; there was lots of thunder and lightening and this was taken just after it started raining but before the huge deluge hit.

Charles, James and Cole? have conquered the castle. Or, in this case, the tree house in the play area.
